Macrieve (Immortals After Dark, 10)

By Kresley Cole

I’m going to say it again- If you haven’t read the Immortals After Dark Series, there is something seriously wrong with you!

Our immortals are back, and this time it’s the werewolf male Macrieve’s turn to conquer his fears and fight for his mate. But Macrieve was broken as a child and struggles to find peace. When the witches announces that the daughter of their enemy, his torturer, is up for auction he jumps for revenge.

But destiny always have a way of sneaking up on you and biting you in the ass. What Macrieve finds at the auction have him fighting off the entire lore. His mate save and in his hands, Macrieve struggles to overcome his past and save his mate from death. Will he be able to put the past to rest and save her in time? Or would the past repeat itself?

Yip, Kresley Cole did it again. Not a surprise there! Phew, these males are really something. Macrieve was just as perfect as all the other males. Kresley threw in some heartbreaking turners with him, and I couldn’t help but want to reach in and sooth him. He was such a wonderful addition to IAD. Just perfect.

Cloe didn’t disappoint as well. Rather than a weak female that couldn’t hold her own, she was tough from the start. She didn’t let a huge male intimidate her, but stood up and fought for herself. I loved this new female to the story. A real tomboy kicking some butt and teaching werewolves how to play soccer.

Kresley Cole writing was as always perfect. Well written and the plot was very well executed. With twists and turns and emotions running high, Cole make sure that readers are clenched to their books. I just can’t get enough of this series! A huge 5 Stars from me.
